Equine Potomavac + Imrab Rabies Vaccine is recommended for the vaccination of healthy horses against rabies and as an aid in the prevention of Potomac Horse Fever (equine monocytic ehrlichiosis) caused by E. risticii. Give 1 ml intramuscularly to horses 3 months of age or older. Give a booster dose 3 to 4 weeks later, using this product or Potomavac. Revaccinate annually with a single 1 ml dose of Equine Potomavac + Imrab.
Equine POTOMAVAC + IMRAB is a liquid suspension of inactivated rabies virus propagated in a stable cell line, combined with an inactivated suspension of Ehrlichia risticii. Safety and efficacy of this product have been demonstrated in controlled vaccination challenge tests and thorough field evaluations.
INDICATIONS: Recommended for the vaccination of healthy horses against disease caused by rabies virus and as an aid in the prevention of Potomac Horse Fever (equine monocytic ehrlichiosis) caused by E. risticii.
- For primary vaccination, aseptically inject 1 mL (1 dose) intramuscularly into healthy horses 3 months of age or older.
- For E. risticii, revaccinate with 1 dose 3 to 4 weeks later using this product or EQUINE POTOMAVAC®.
- Revaccinate annually with a single 1 mL dose.

PRECAUTIONS: Store Equine Potomavac + Imrab Rabies Equine Vaccine at 2-7°C (35-45°F). Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Shake well before using. Contains gentamicin as a preservative. Do not vaccinate within 21 days prior to slaughter. In rare instances, administration of vaccines may cause lethargy, fever, and inflammatory or hypersensitivity types of reactions. Treatment may include antihistamines, anti-inflammatories, and/or epinephrine. Vaccinating animals whose immune response is compromised by stress, disease, etc. may not produce the desired results.
Equine Potomavac + IMRAB is for vaccinating horses against disease caused by rabies virus and aids in the prevention of disease in horses caused by Potomac horse fever (equine monocytic ehrlichiosis) caused by Ehrlichia risticii. This highly effective combination vaccine contains inactivated E. risticii combined with inactivated rabies virus to help protect your horse against Potomac horse fever which can lead to fever, colic, watery diarrhea and abortion, and rabies, a nervous system infection which is invariably fatal once symptoms develop.
Equine Potomavac + IMRAB is a killed vaccine safe for intramuscular administration in healthy horses and foals at least 3 months of age. Unvaccinated horses will require a primary two-dose vaccination, three to four weeks apart. Annual revaccination is recommended. No reconstitution required.
